Activities during the program

• Calculating the maximum load that beams and columns can carry under specific conditions.
• Analyzing stress and strain on structural elements to ensure safety and stability.
• Determining optimal sizes for beams, columns, and footings based on design requirement.
• Performing load distribution analysis for simple frame structures and trusses.
• Drawing moment and shear force diagrams to evaluate beam performance under load.
• Estimating material quantities, including concrete and steel, for structural elements.
• Conducting basic structural simulations using software to evaluate deflection and forces.

Mentoring

You will be guided and work in constant contact with the managers of the company. 

You will gain the following skills: 

• Understanding the principles of structural mechanics and material behavior.
• Performing detailed structural calculations for various elements.
• Interpreting shear force and bending moment diagrams.
• Gaining proficiency in estimating material quantities and project costs.
• Familiarity with load distribution principles and truss analysis techniques.
• Applying design codes and safety factors to validate structural stability.
• Utilizing structural analysis software for basic modeling and result interpretation.
• Enhancing problem-solving and critical thinking skills in structural engineering tasks.

• One recommendation letter for your job / further studies application.
• You can include the host company, as a reference for your job application in other company.

Importrant information:

You can also do this program with the Erasmus+ programme or another educational programme (e.g., curricular programmes to get ECTS, final projects in university, practical and academic projects, etc). It is also possible to do the internship without any programme.

About the price

This programme has a reasonable price that varies depending on the duration of the programme and its location. The price is paid at the beginning of the internship and never in advance.
