Activities during the program

• Calculating stress and strain in mechanical components under various loads.
• Designing shafts for torque transmission and verifying their safety.
• Analyzing bolted connections to determine force distribution and select appropriate fasteners.
• Evaluating gear ratios and efficiencies in simple gear trains.
• Calculating stiffness and deformation in compression springs.
• Performing heat transfer calculations for fins or plates to determine thermal efficiency.
• Analyzing beam deflection under loads in mechanical frames.
• Designing flywheels to store rotational energy and verify their performance.
• Planning and analyzing pulley systems for lifting specific loads.
• Comparing material properties to select the best option for specific mechanical components.

Mentoring

You will be guided and work in constant contact with the managers of the company. 

You will gain the following skills: 

• Understanding fundamental mechanical principles such as stress, strain, and load distribution.
• Applying engineering formulas to design and verify mechanical components.
• Interpreting gear train efficiencies and analyzing their mechanical advantages.
• Conducting heat transfer analysis for improved thermal performance.
• Designing and optimizing components like springs, shafts, and flywheels.
• Gaining proficiency in beam deflection analysis and force distribution.
• Developing material selection strategies based on operational requirements.
• Strengthening problem-solving and critical thinking skills in mechanical design.

This programme also includes:

• A fast admission process.

• A reserved vacancy for the internship. The host company won’t cancel your internship at last minute.
• You can choose when to start and finish the period of your internship.
• Flexibility during the internship.
• The company will sign the documentation related to the Erasmus+ programme.
• The company will sign any other educational agreement and documents required by your university.
• A certificate of completion of internship.
• One recommendation letter for your job / further studies application.
• You can include the host company, as a reference for your job application in other company.

Importrant information:

You can also do this program with the Erasmus+ programme or another educational programme (e.g., curricular programmes to get ECTS, final projects in university, practical and academic projects, etc). It is also possible to do the internship without any programme.

About the price

This programme has a reasonable price that varies depending on the duration of the programme and its location. The price is paid at the beginning of the internship and never in advance.
